MiDex is a conversation-first personal intelligence workspace. Start by thinking through what matters now, then keep only the remembered information you explicitly review and approve.

Conversation starts the work

Clarify a situation, compare options, or identify one next step without making the turn durable.

Memory requires review

A proposal remains not remembered until you open Review memory and choose the outcome.

Vault is optional

Device Vault protects selected local secrets and encrypted content. It is not an entrance requirement.

Conversation

Think through what matters

Conversation is the primary way to begin. It helps you examine a question, make a situation clearer, compare possible directions, and choose a reversible next step. The turn stays transient unless you decide something should move into review.

Memory

Keep only what deserves to last

Conversation does not automatically become Memory. When MiDex has enough support, it may offer one proposed Memory. Review memory shows the durable wording, lets you edit it, and keeps Not now available as a no-write outcome.

The Memory lifecycle

  1. 1. Conversation: share the current thought or question.
  2. 2. Response: use the transient reply to keep thinking.
  3. 3. Review memory: inspect the exact proposed Memory.
  4. 4. Choose: Remember, Update memory, or Not now.
  • Conversation stays transient by default.
  • MiDex may offer zero or one proposed Memory.
  • Review memory shows the exact durable content before anything is remembered.
  • Remember, Update memory, and Not now are the only Memory outcomes.

Journal

Write intentionally

Journal is durable writing only when you use explicit Journal actions. It is separate from Conversation, and a Journal entry does not become Memory unless it enters the same focused Review memory path.

User control

Steer what lasts

MiDex keeps ordinary Conversation transient. You decide what deserves review, whether to Remember or Update it, and when an existing Memory no longer fits.

Account, privacy, and security boundaries

Guest use

Guest Conversation is a supported transient interaction. It does not sign you in, create an account, create a Vault, or create remembered information.

Account access

Signing in restores account-backed product access. It does not create a Vault, unlock a Vault, authorize a provider, or automatically remember a guest turn.

Device Vault

Vault is optional device-local protection for selected credentials and encrypted local content. It is not required to browse or start using MiDex.

External processing

External intelligence is separately disclosed and authorized. MiDex remains useful with local, provider-free responses.

What MiDex deliberately avoids

  • No automatic transcript persistence.
  • No automatic Memory creation.
  • No automatic Journal entry creation.
  • No Vault setup before ordinary browsing.
  • No provider request merely because you open the product.
  • No diagnosis, therapy substitute, personality score, or objective truth claim.
